how to remove PVA coating from currecy paper?

I want to remove Polyvinyl alcohol coatings from security paper waste for recycling of paper waste. Any help?

I am afraid there is no simple way of removing this from the paper that I know of. This is one of the reasons why old currency is usually burnt, rather than shredded and recycled.

I used to work in the paper industry some years ago and we dealt with recycling was paper bulk waste. There were certain types that were little use because of coatings etc
